vintage baby apron

While mom and I were digging through all of our old doll clothes, we found this:

132
A vintage apron- it's tiny! It would probably fit a 6-12 month old baby.

She told me that one of her fraternal aunts probably made it. It's completely hand sewn- tons of tiny blue stitches. The shoulder straps cross in the back.

I wanted to hang it for display in my sewing room, but since I always have the blinds open, I decided not to so that it doesn't fade. I will probably make a pattern from this one so I can make some new ones.

pink cupcake apron and lil deer apron

I have had these all cut out and pinned together for months. I finally got them finished this week!

Aren't they so cute?

i've been feeling so batty lately...

I needed a break from the Super Secret Project that I have been working on for the past month, so I have been baking. But I really wanted to sew, so I decided to make something cute, fun and easy.

Photobucket
Betty Boo, a sock bat by Heather Bailey. I found some socks at Target for $1 a pair, so I stocked up because I knew they'd be perfect for this project! Socks are hard to work with, so I modified the pattern a little bit. (And now, comparing mine to Heather's- hers are waaay better.

Hmmm, I think I just challenged myself to go forth and try again.

(Maybe after I finish the Super Secret Project.)

treats for baby jack and big sister annie

(I just barely gave her these- so I delayed the post so the surprise wouldn't be ruined!)

My friend Kelley is having a baby boy soon- (my friend Kelly had her baby a month ago) - so I made some fabulous accessories for her nursery.

This is her bedding...so I based the accessories off of these pieces.

Elle. Pattern by Heather Bailey. Isn't he just so cute?

I can't wait to see how she puts the nursery together! (I hope she takes some photos for me.)

She also has a 2 year old girl, Annie. She is so sweet and full of energy- I absolutely love talking and playing with her when she visits our work. I give her treats, and she lets me follow her around. So of course I couldn't leave her out! She is just old enough for dolls, so I made her one...

of her!

Annie's Doll. She was so much fun to make! Seriously, even though the hair was a challenge, she turned out much cuter that I had envisioned.
