sleepover pals for Laura

Last October- Laura's grandma contacted me about making Laura something special for her first birthday. We decided on a set of Sleepover Pals.

I looked everywhere for a cute pillow sham to make the sleeping bag for this set. EVERYWHERE. Even on Amazon. After months of not finding anything, I searched for the scraps of the quilt I made for her. I had enough left over- so I made my own damn sleeping bag.

It turned out very cute, I must say! I made the dolls hair differently, and didn't include arms because I am having issues with the way the pattern tells you to do them. I just don't think that her way will last as long as I want them to last.

custom doll for miss d

Hours after my review was posted, Amy contacted me about making a custom doll for her daughters birthday that coming up. I didn't really have time to order fabric- so I dug out my pink stash and searched for the perfect pieces. 

I had some, and by some I mean a tiny bit left of this cupcake fabric that I had used for some aprons forever ago. So I paired it up with some coordinating fabric and it's perfect! I really, really like how the different fabric on each side makes the cupcakes really pop.

I'm pretty sure that the red-head dolls are my fav. Every time I get one finished, I look at them and just squeal. And then I don't want to give them up!

So sweet!

Her mama says that Miss D always has a bow or flower in her hair, and could I please add one to the doll, so I made a teeny felt flower- and are you dying? I love it!

Jasmine requested a doll for her friend's baby girl.

I totally made up that dress all by myself. No pattern! But I did save what I did so I can do it again, don't worry!

With black rickrack hair, brown eyes...

...and a fancy dress using Joel Dewberry's Aviary 2- in the grey/yellow color way...

...and "little miss nater-tater" embroidered on her belly.

Remember this sweet little doll I made for Misty?

Well, here is her daughter Elliot with her new doll Lily! How cute is she with all that hair and perfect sweet smile? And that dimple?
